Ultimate download finally has added some new features that have been long ago on the wishlist of Video Downloader.Q: Powershell always reloads config file I use a custom made script which creates some environment files and then use PSReadline to allow the user to edit them. The user is forced to enter a password before saving the changes and I need a function to save the changes but this only works if I don't reload the configuration (using something like $config). This can be quite annoying since after reloading the config it gives the original password you saved earlier. I had thought about saving the configurations with the timestamp when the object was created (or when the script was called) but I don't have a timestamp for the config object. Is there any way of not reloading the config file and only saving the changes? Edit: it seems that the solution is to mark the config file as read only and every time a user wants to edit it, the Save function will save the changes to another file and then use the Move-Item function to move the original config file to read only.
